Spare change anyone? We have seven students attending a student leadership conference on Tuesday the 18th. They're collecting coins for ALS. If you have spare change you wish to donate, please send them into school tomorrow and give them to Miss Andrews or leave them in the main officer for her. Thanks for your support!

The varsity boys basketball season came to an end Friday night in the Section IV tournament quarterfinals, falling to #1 seed (#8 state ranked) Edmeston. However, the boys did not go down quietly. After weathering Edmeston’s initial first-quarter surge, the boys dug in defensively - holding the Panthers scoreless over the final 4:48 of the second quarter and went into halftime with a 20-17 lead. After an intense, physical second half, their opponent proved to be too much with the boys losing the game by a final score of 52-36. Although the game didn’t end in the team’s favor, they have a lot to be proud of. They improved defensively throughout the year, holding ten opponents to 42 points or less and held both sectional opponents under their season average. They were winners of five of their final eight games and the boys earned their first sectional win in ten-plus years. Congratulations GCR!
